Digimon Galaxy chapter 9

Fire in the rain

The storm intensified as the hours past, the rain became heavier and the lightning more frequent.  Kyle tried to roll onto his side to be more comfortable but was struggling. Renamon tried to help him however....

Kyle:"Ouuuuuuuuuuuuwwwwch!!!"

Renamon:"Oh god, I'm so sorry!"

She had accidently put her paw on his wound as she tried to help him. The sudden pressure made the pain intensify till it was worst than when he was first stabbed. Rolling onto his stomach he groaned in agony to the point when he even started to cry slightly.

Renamon:"I'm so sorry! I didn't know what I was doing"

The rest of the group watched in pity for their ally. He was the first to be injured in their time in the digital world and it had nearly killed him, now he was suffering.

Gatomon:"I wish I could do something to help him"

Alex:"We can't. We have done all we can so far"

Gabumon:"All we can do is keep him alive"

Takeo:"How much longer before another one of us ends up like that?"

Gabumon:"Not long if Digimon keep coming as regularly as they are now. At least this storm will slow them down"

Chris:"What if they are like Plesiomon and like water?"

Gabumon:"Then we are most likely going to be attacked"

Orlando:"On a lighter note, is there any way of opening a portal?"

Guilmon:"No"

Orlando:"Great (!)"

Plesiomon looked over towards the stream where his last opponent had retreated. He thought he could see movement through the darkness and rain. He peeled his eyes and when a large flash of lightning light up the ground it exposed what he was afraid of.

Plesiomon:"We have company"

The all looked towards where he was pointing his head to see the movement, another flash shone against the form of the creature that had appeared from the dunes. It was hard to make out what it was but it was defiantly getting closer.

A few more minutes later they could now hear and see it properly. It stood around nine feet tall and walked on two legs. It had a long triangular shaped jaw with its eyes sitting directly on top of it; on its back it had a large downward facing spike. Its roar was a half bird screech half crocodile growl.

Chris:"What the hell is that!?"

Gabumon:"I've never seen a Digimon like that before"

Seadramon:"Telesmon. A fire Digimon from the volcanic mountains. I thought they were very rare but this is the third time I have seen one"

Alex:"If we are quiet it shouldn't notice us"

Seadramon:"Sadly that won't work this time. His eyesight is very accurate and so is sense of smell. I can smell our blood"

Kyle:"My blood"

It continued to move towards the group along the shore, despite being a fire Digimon it did not care about the rain. It could smell blood and it was very adamant to get it, nothing would get in his way.

As he got about fifty yards from them he was set upon from the side. Renamon had sprung from the trees and knocked him to the floor; Telesmon stood back up and ruthlessly kicked the vixen.

Gatomon:"Come on Renamon!"

Kyle:"That's not Renamon"

Renamon:"I am sitting right here"

Gatomon:"Then who is that?"
